MARCH 10, MEDIAN DAY OF LENT

Wednesday, March 10, was the median day of Lent (Michink). (*) It is the 24th day of Lent and it falls on the Wednesday of the fourth week of Lent, ending the first half of our spiritual journey. Although it does not have any specific religious significance, this mid-point day has been traditionally marked as a special day and occasion for fellowship, friendship, and the sharing of a Lenten meal.

(*) Correction: We apologize to our readers as we had erroneously misstated in the previous issue that the median day of Lent was March 3, which we subsequently corrected on our website.
