PRELACY CONCLUDES SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM

The Prelacy’s Christian Education Department held its eighth and final monthly Sunday School teacher training virtual program for this academic year on Monday, May 2, with the participation of 15 teachers and directors, presided by His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate.    

Following an opening prayer by Very Rev. Fr. Sahag, Vicar, Nevair Oranjian Babajanyan presented a lecture on Technology in Education, her fourth session on enhancing pedagogical skills and knowledge. Nevair holds a master’s degree in Educational Psychology. She is an adjunct lecturer at City University of New York (CUNY) and Florida Institute of Technology. Nevair highlighted various game-based learning platforms and apps that teachers can use in their classroom to create more interactive presentations, including Kahoot!, JeopardyLabs, YouTube, and Mentimeter.  

At the end of the session, His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan expressed his appreciation for the work of the Christian Education department, headed by Archdeacon Shant Kazanjian, and thanked the teachers and the directors for participating in these educational programs that benefit our Sunday School ministry in the life of our Church.
