The defense of Artsakh is a critically urgent pan-Armenian imperative today; tomorrow may be too late.
The Armenians of Artsakh have repeatedly expressed their collective will for self-determination.
The protection of the right of self-determination of the Armenians of Artsakh and the support of their socioeconomic well-being is the sacred duty of every Armenian.
We should mobilize our fellow Armenians in defense of Artsakh
Therefore, we appeal to the prelacies of the Holy See of Cilicia to take the following steps with the active participation, joint planning, and collective work of all Armenian communities, organizations. and structures, and an approach in agreement with their local contexts:
– To highlight the imperative of defending the right of self-determination of Artsakh as an all-Armenian priority among fellow Armenians.
– To advocate effectively for the end of the Artsakh blockade in non-Armenian circles (government, political elite, organizations, press, etcetera).
– To undertake assistance for the immediate needs of Armenians in Artsakh. We will soon inform our prelacies about coordination.
We are in continuous contact with the Artsakh authorities and continue our contacts with the international community to end the Artsakh blockade. The Central Executive Council of the Holy See of Cilicia is closely following the developments around Artsakh. The Catholicosate of the Holy See of Cilicia will participate in the Forum of Artsakh Friends.
