LADIES’ GUILDS ANNOUNCE CREATION OF DATABASE

Representatives of eight Ladies Guilds of the Prelacy parishes participated in a conference of the National Association of Ladies’ Guilds of the Eastern Prelacy on May 18-19 hosted by Sts. Vartanantz Church in Providence, Rhode Island. The guilds’ conference was held in parallel with the National Representative Assembly.

During the conference, the guild announced a project to create a database and directory that may serve as a platform for members to share information, ideas, and photos, among other plans that will be put into practice in the course of the year.  The database will also be used to facilitate the development of Regional Seminars they are planning to hold in the coming months.

IThe group is also considering a name change to Association of Eastern Prelacy Guilds, to better reflect the organization and role within the Eastern Prelacy.

As part of their commitment to the Prelacy’s fundraising efforts and responding to Archbishop Anoushavan’s calls for more charitable giving, the ladies guilds group will allocate some of their raffle proceeds to initiatives including the St. Gregory of Datev Summer Institute. The organization has been a long-time sponsor of the Prelacy’s Orphans Sponsorship Program.
