The Eastern Prelacy warmly welcomes His Holiness Catholicos Aram I on his Pontifical Visit to the Eastern United States, beginning Friday, October 4. Arriving from Switzerland, Catholicos Aram I plans to visit the parishes of New England and the Midwest, continuing his mission of faith, leadership, and unity. At a time when turmoil and challenges continue to affect Lebanon and the Middle East as well as Armenia and her neighborhood, His Holiness brings a message of hope, peace, and spiritual solidarity.
The visit will include the parishes of Providence, Indian Orchard, Worcester, Whitinsville, Watertown, and North Andover in Massachusetts; Granite City, Glenview, and Waukegan in Illinois; Racine, Wisconsin; and Dearborn, Michigan. This pastoral journey follows last year’s successful visit to the Mid-Atlantic parishes and underscores the deep connection between His Holiness and the Armenian community throughout the United States.
His Holiness will be accompanied by Very Rev. Fr. Hovagim Panjarjian, head of the Department of Communications of the Catholicosate, and Very Rev. Fr. Sarkis Aprahamian, head of the Department of Ecumenical and Christian-Islam Relations in the Middle East.
His Holiness will return to the Holy See of Antelias on October 24.
