PRELATE PRESIDES OVER MEMORIAL EVENING AT ST. SARKIS FOCUSED ON ARTSAKH

On Saturday, April 26, His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, presided over a memorial evening dedicated to the Armenian Genocide at St. Sarkis Church in Douglaston, New York, with a special focus on Artsakh.
Chantelle Nasri delivered a welcome message and introduced the evening’s host, attorney Anahid Ugurlayan.
Anoush Baghdasarian gave a detailed presentation on the process of bringing the Artsakh issue before international courts; Alec Soghomonian spoke about the overall activities of the Armenian Youth Federation (AYF); and Kev Iskajian outlined the Armenian National Committee’s (ANCA) strategic work.
In his closing remarks, Archbishop Anoushavan offered high praise for the young speakers, calling their presentations a testament to the new generation’s commitment to the pursuit of Armenian rights.
He added that practical support for the Armenians of Artsakh is essential, so that they do not become dispersed, but remain rooted in the homeland, prepared to reclaim their ancestral lands at the opportune time.
