PRELATE PRESIDES OVER TRIBUTE TO PROF. SIOBHAN NASH-MARSHALL

Under the auspices of His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate of the Eastern Prelacy, a memorial gathering was held on the evening of Wednesday, May 22, in tribute to the late philosopher and staunch defender of Armenian rights, Professor Siobhan Nash-Marshall, who passed away last December at the age of 59. The event, at the Prelacy headquarters in New York, brought together colleagues, former students, and friends to honor her extraordinary legacy.
Attorney Armen Morian delivered opening remarks, followed by Dr. Vartan Matiossian, Dr. Antranig Kasbarian, and Italian-Armenian writer Antonia Arslan. Speakers praised Prof. Nash-Marshall’s unconditional commitment to truth, justice, and the Armenian cause—both in the United States and across Armenia and Artsakh—through intellectual, civic, and philanthropic work.
Ani Khachiyan read an excerpt from George, a novel by Nash-Marshall, while Anoush Barclay offered a moving musical tribute, performing “Sourp, Sourp,” “Der Voghormya,” and “Hayr Mer.”
The evening concluded with closing remarks by His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, followed by a reception.
