PRELATE PRESIDES OVER SIAMANTO’S GRADUATION CEREMONY

On Saturday, June 8, His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, presided over the graduation ceremony of the Siamanto Academy class of 2024-25 at the Prelacy headquarters in New York. Hera Makhoulian, Executive Director of the Armenian National Education Council, served as MC. Following her welcoming remarks, the Prelate, offered the opening prayer.

Siamanto Principal Ani Nercessian and Prelacy Executive Director Dr. Vartan Matiossian addressed the students. This year’s graduates are Vahan Chaglasian (New Jersey), who attended in person, Zaven Kouchakdjian and Gregory Papazian, who joined via Zoom, and had words of gratitude for the Academy and their teachers Lena Nazarian, Raffi Rachdouni, and Arthur Atoyan. Ms. Nazarian and Mr. Rachdouni also expressed their congratulations to the new graduates. Nareg Kassarjian, representing Siamanto graduates, congratulated the three students, the same as Margaret Babikian, on behalf of the ARS Eastern Regional.

The graduates received gifts from the Prelacy and the Armenian Relief Society. In his closing remarks, Archbishop Anoushavan praised the graduates, expressing also his esteem for their parents and their support for the Siamanto Academy project, which started in 1981 with its various iterations. He also highlighted ANEC’s commitment to the advancement of our new generation.
