This week’s letter is from Gegham,* who is sponsored by St. Gregory the Illuminator Church’s Holy Seraphim Choir (Philadelphia, PA).

Dear Sponsor,

This is Gegham, Hovsep’s eldest son. I am 12 years old. The school in our Apaga Village is named after my father. I am an honor roll student in that school.

I want to be a good student, to be a worthy son of my father, and when I grow up, whatever profession I choose, to be a smart professional. I will keep my father’s memory high in everything I do.

I am very proud to be the son of the hero Hovsep.

I love playing soccer.

When I grow up, I will be the defender of my country – a brave soldier.
