PENTECOST PICNIC BRINGS PARISH COMMUNITY TOGETHER

On Saturday, June 8, parishioners of Sts. Vartanantz Church in Providence, Rhode Island, gathered on the church grounds to celebrate the Feast of Pentecost with a community picnic.

Rev. Fr. Kapriel Nazarian, Pastor, led a prayer service celebrating the Feast of Pentecost and blessed the Madagh, assisted by the deacons and altar servers. Following the service, attendees enjoyed a full afternoon outdoors with traditional music, food, and activities for all ages.

Children participated in two bouncy houses, a magic show, and face painting. The food line remained active for four hours, serving meals continuously until the last meal was sold. A live band performed Armenian favorites, encouraging many to dance or sing along.

The picnic brought together longtime members and new faces, reinforcing the spirit of community and shared tradition. Organizers expressed their gratitude to all who participated and volunteered.

Plans are underway for the upcoming Food Festival, and the parish looks forward to the continued support of its members.
