ARCHBISHOP ANOUSHAVAN PRESIDES OVER HOME BLESSING SERVICE

His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, presided over the traditional Home Blessing service (Dnorhnek) on Tuesday, January 6, at the Prelacy headquarters in New York. The service was officiated by Archpriest Fr. Mesrob Lakissian, Pastor of St. Illuminator’s Cathedral. 

Present were the Very Rev. Fr. Vache Balekjian, Pastor of Sts. Vartanantz Church in Ridgefield, New Jersey; Archpriest Fr. Nareg Terterian, Pastor of St. Sarkis Church in Douglaston, New York; Rev. Fr. Vahan Kouyoumdjian, Pastor of Holy Cross Church in Troy, New York; and His Grace Bishop Bedros Manouelian, Dean of the Armenian community of Venezuela, who was visiting New York. Also in attendance there were many faithful from our community. The newly appointed Permanent Representative of Lebanon to the United Nations, Ambassador Ahmed Arafa, was present as well. 

 His Eminence expressed his wish that we welcome 2026 with renewed faith and hope, so that we may overcome every kind of difficulty that has arisen in Armenia and in the Diaspora.
