ARCHBISHOP ANOUSHAVAN VISITS UN HEADQUARTERS AT THE INVITATION BY ARMENIAN PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE

Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, and Bishop Mesrop, Primate, received an invitation from Ambassador Paruyr Hovhannisyan, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the UN, to visit the headquarters of the United Nations. On Tuesday, May 26, they were welcomed by Mr. Movses Abelian, Under-Secretary-General for General Assembly and Conference Management and Coordinator for Multilingualism in the United Nations Secretariat, who introduced them to the various divisions and activities of the UN. Mr. Hovhannisyan was accompanied by Mr. Zhirayr Ananyan, Deputy Permanent Representative. The visit was also an opportunity to discuss various international and Armenian issues. At the end of the visit, the two church leaders expressed their gratitude for this educational invitation.
