Prelacy Lenten Program Begins

Last night, the Armenian Prelacy commenced its Lenten Program, cosponsored by St. Illuminator’s Cathedral in New York City, with an abridged Husgoom service, followed by a lecture, and concluded with a table fellowship, presided over by His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan Tanielian, Prelate.

In keeping with His Holiness Catholicos Aram I’s proclamation of 2024 as the “Year of Human Resources Preparation,” the Lenten lecture series will spotlight that theme.

The Very Reverend Father Sahag Yemishian presented the inaugural lecture, introducing the overall theme for the series and highlighting significant features from Vehapar Hayr’s encyclical. Fr. Sahag is the pastor of Sts. Vartanants Armenian Apostolic Church in Ridgefield, New Jersey, and serves as the Vicar of the Eastern Prelacy. To watch the lecture, please click here,

Next Wednesday, February 21, Rev. Archpriest Fr. Antranig Baljian will reflect on “Fishermen to Fishers of Men.”
