PRELACY BENEFACTOR RENOVATES MILITARY INSTITUTION IN ARMENIA

Eastern Prelacy benefactor Arthur P. Bedrosian has recently undertaken renovation work at Tigran Mets Sports and Military College of Armenia. The institution is located in Armavir, 30 miles to the west of Yerevan, and most of its students continue their studies at Vazgen Sargsyan Military University upon graduation, where they train to join the cadre of officers of our homeland.

With Mr. Bedrosian’s donation, made through the Bedrosian Foundation (founded by Bedrosian/Bahtiarian family members), the school’s roof, which covers an area of 13,000 square feet, was replaced with a new one. It is the first time the school, where 150 students receive first-class military and sports education, undergoes major renovation work since it was built in 1961.

The renovation work was supervised by the Nerses the Great Charitable Organization, which represents the Eastern Prelacy in Armeniaand Artsakh. Mr. Bedrosian, who is also a generous donor to the orphan program, has committed to refurbish the computer class room as well as endow it with 12 new computers.
