PRELATE VISITS ST. STEPHEN’S CHURCH ON PENTECOST
On Sunday, May 23, on occasion of the feast of Pentecost, Archbishop Anoushavan visited the church of St. Stephen’s in Watertown, MA, where he took part in the Divine Liturgy and delivered the sermon. Following Badarak, he presided over the 40th day requiem service in memory of Dr. Vartan Gregorian.
Upon the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the Prelate led the graduation ceremony of St. Stephen’s five students, who from kindergarten to 12th grade have received a Christian education for 15 years. He had words of praise for Principal Nayiri Baljian-Bell and the teaching staff for their devoted efforts, as well as the students’ parents for their choice of this Sunday school.
His Eminence then visited the office of the Board of Trustees, accompanied by Archpriest. Fr. Antranig Baljian, Pastor, and the trustees. With the Prelate’s blessing, the pastor and the trustees had decided to name the office in honor of long-serving trustee Mr. Charlie Hoosian, who was moved by the decision and the unveiling of the plaque.
The Prelate also met with the family of the late Dr. Gregorian and conveyed the condolences of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I.
