His Holiness Catholicos Aram I on June 23 received Nadine Maenza, Chair of the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom. The Catholicos and Ms. Maenza discussed about religious freedom, human rights as well as topics related to the U.S. policy in the Middle East. His Holiness also spoke about the state of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations and the current situation in Lebanon.
Following the meeting, Ms. Maenza visited the Holy Martyrs Chapel and the Aram Bezikian Museum of Armenian Genocide Orphans at Birds’ Nest Orphanage.
