The National Library of Armenia and the Cilicia Manuscripts Library of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation to enhance their activities, organize joint exhibitions and conferences as well as promote the digitalization of collections, among other pursuits.
On this occasion, NLA Director Anna Chulyan said that cooperation between both institutions had begun several years ago. The memorandum was signed to formalize the existing ties, she said.
On behalf of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, Cilicia Manuscripts Library Director Archbishop Shahan Sarkissian expressed his satisfaction and joy over the agreement with the NLA. The memorandum will ensure the promotion of books in Armenian, he said.
With the memorandum, the sides agreed to enlarge the scope of their cooperation and joint plans.
