STS. VARTANANTZ SUNDAY SCHOOL BIDS FAREWELL TO GRADUATES

The graduation ceremony of Sts. Vartanantz Sunday School of Providence, RI, took place on Sunday, May 22, at the conclusion of Divine Liturgy. Alex Kojoian and Robert Stevens, this year’s graduates, picked a passage from Bible that is special for them and explained its importance in their daily life.

On behalf of her colleague Jason Simonian and in her own name, 8th grade teacher Stacey Khatchadourian congratulated the graduates and the families. In her speech she highlighted the importance of maintaining our Christian values in this rapidly changing world.

“Continue to search for exactly who God intended you to be,” she said. “A quote from St. Catherine of Siena states, “Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire!”

Mr. Simonian also congratulated the graduates and their families for their dedication. He shared inspiring words with the graduates to continue growing in their faith and remaining active in the daily life of our church family. The ceremony concluded with the graduates’ pledge to remain members of the Armenian Apostolic Church and the blessing by Rev. Fr. Kapriel Nazarian.
