PRELATE EXTOLS AYF AT OPENING CEREMONY OF OLYMPIC GAMES
On Sunday, September 4, His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, took part in the opening ceremonies of the Armenian Youth Federation (AYF) Olympic Games held in Worcester, Massachusetts), addressing the participants and the public. He was accompanied by Very Rev. Fr. Ardag Arabian, Pastor of Holy Trinity Church (Worcester, MA), Rev. Fr. Mikayel Der Khosrofian, Pastor of Soorp Asdvadzadzin Church (Whitinsville, MA), and Rev. Fr. Mesrob Lakissian, Pastor of St. Illuminator’s Cathedral (New York City). Fr. Ardag offered the opening prayer and the Prelate delivered his message to the presents. Archbishop Anoushavan greeted the great family of the AYF on behalf of the Eastern Prelacy and its Executive Council. He congratulated all participants who came from all over the country to Worcester to strengthen their bonds and renew their pledge towards their founding father, Garegin Nzhdeh, who almost nine decades ago firmly believed in the integrity and sanctity of the homeland and in the mission of the youth to preserve and continue the legacy of their forefathers.
