Letters from Armenia

ELEN – 10/27/2022

The Prelacy’s Orphan Sponsorship program, established in 1993, remains the centerpiece of the Prelacy’s mission in Armenia and Artsakh. We are pleased to share some of the letters that children regularly address to their sponsors.

This week’s letter is from Elen, who is sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Arthur (Ardash) Bedrosian

Dear Sponsor,

This is Elen. I live in the city of Vayk. I am 12 years old and go to Vayk’s middle school’s 7th grade. I live with my mom and grandparents. I do well in school and my favorite subjects are Armenian Language and the History of the Armenian Church.

I used to dance in “Anourjner” dance group. Now, I go to art classes two times a week in the after-school program. My favorite activities are dancing, drawing pictures, and reading Children’s Bible.

I go to the library often, and I like to read books in different genres, especially adventure and historical fiction.

I always help my grandmother in the house chores. My favorites are kitchen chores: making salads or baking with my grandma.

I always say Hayr Mer prayer before going to bed.
