The Prelacy’s Orphan Sponsorship program, established in 1993, remains the centerpiece of the Prelacy’s mission in Armenia and Artsakh. We are pleased to share some of the letters that children regularly address to their sponsors.
This week’s letter is from Aren,* who is sponsored by Prof. Onnig Dombalagian.
* We use only the first names of the children to protect their privacy.
Dear Sponsor,
This is Aren, born in 2006 in the village of Noragyugh in the Askeran region [of Artsakh]. I go to local school where I am in 11th grade.
After graduating from high school, I am going to serve in the Armenian army to make sure that our parents and relatives live and work under peaceful skies.
After my military service, I will study at the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology of Artsakh State University.
I wish peace and empowerment to our tormented Artsakh.
If our state is not powerful, we will get assimilated into other nations.
