SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM ENDS ITS FIRST YEAR
Last week marked the end of the inaugural summer internship program at the Eastern Prelacy headquarters. Interested young adults were invited to apply for the unique opportunity to sharpen their professional skills while serving the Prelacy community.
This year’s intern, Nishan Kouyoumdjian, chose to work primarily within the Youth Ministry department during his six-week internship. His core tasks included enhancing the Youth Ministry page on the Prelacy website to enable Salt & Light facilitators access to Prelacy provided resources directly from our website. Nishan provided weekly updates on his deliverables while under supervision of Youth Ministry Director, Annie Ovanessian and Prelacy Executive Director, Dr. Vartan Matiossian. The new access for Salt & Light facilitators is scheduled to be unveiled this autumn.
In addition to his chief responsibilities within Youth Ministry, Nishan also assisted Archdeacon Shant Kazanjian during the St. Gregory of Datev Summer Institute in Elverson, PA, and collaborated with the Prelacy staff throughout his internship to assist in whatever capacity was necessary. The Executive Council and Prelacy staff thank Nishan Kouyoumdjian for his services and wish him much success in his future endeavors.
