PRELACY’S STEADFAST SUPPORT FOR REFUGEES IN ARMENIA
After the deportation of the Armenian population last September from Artsakh, the Eastern Prelacy continues bringing its support to our brethren in distress, now settled in the Republic of Armenia. Thanks to your donations, each month essential goods for a value of around $4,000-$4,500 are provided to different groups comprised of 30-35 families with the cooperation of the Hope and Light Charity Organization operating in Yerevan.
As a highlight of these efforts, which also include our parishes and the cooperation of the Prelacy’s St. Nerses the Great Charitable Organization, St. Sarkis Church of Douglaston (New York) recently sponsored the purchase and distribution of 500 winter coats, while St. Sarkis Church of Dearborn (Michigan) did the same with 500 pairs of boots. The coats and the boots were manufactured in Yerevan.
