Letters from Armenia

Gor – 02/29/24

Dear Sponsor,

This is Gor. I am now 12 years old. I live in the Syunik region of Armenia, in the city of Kapan. I go to public school #10, and I am in 7th grade.

I love to go to school, because I get to spend time with my friends and learn new things. This year, we started many new subjects in school and I acquired new knowledge which will be useful in my life.

We have new students in school. They are from Artsakh. I am trying to be friends with them and help them with everything I can, so that they don’t feel sad. It is such a shame that they were forced to leave everything: their homes and possessions and didn’t know where to go. They told me about the Turkish attacks and how they were forced to dislocate, and that made me very emotional, because it is such a tragedy. I don’t want any child to ever live through war, and I wish we always had peace and lived under blue skies.

I am very grateful to you for your attention and care. May God bless you and your family.

Love,

Gor
