Delegates from all parishes of the Eastern Prelacy, along with clergy delegates, will gather at St. Sarkis Church in Dearborn, Michigan, on May 16-18 for the National Representative Assembly, to chart the course for the next 12 months at a time when challenges and opportunities go hand in hand both in Armenia and the Diaspora. The annual clergy conference will be held on May 15.
His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, highlighted the importance of the assembly as the highest instance of accountability in his jurisdiction. “It reflects, at the regional level, the unique governing structure by which the Armenian church and people work together to serve our faith and our nation,” the Prelate said.
Delegates from all parishes gathering at St. Sarkis will go over the Prelacy’s activities for the past year, the budget for 2024-25, the election of members of Religious and Lay councils, and other agenda items.
They will also start planning the second part of the pontifical visit by His Holiness Catholicos Aram I to the Eastern Prelacy, scheduled for October 2024.
Updates and full coverage will be provided in the coming issues of Crossroads as well as through the Prelacy’s social media channels.
