VERMONT WELCOMES ARS EAST COAST DELEGATES TO ANNUAL CONVENTION

Delegates gathered in Burlington, Vermont for the 103rd Annual Convention of the Armenian Relief Society Eastern United States on July 17-20, where they discussed assistance to the victims of Azerbaijan’s ethnic cleansing in Artsakh as well as supporting Diasporan communities. This annual conference was hosted by Vermont’s ARS “Noor” Chapter, welcoming representatives from ARS chapters in Armenian communities across the Eastern region.

On behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, Rev. Fr. Stephan Baljian, Pastor of the St. Gregory Church of Merrimack Valley, blessed the Convention with an opening prayer, conveying the words of appreciation and greetings of the Prelate.

The three-day conference focused on reviewing the work of the ARS-Eastern Region over the past year, which included assisting families who were displaced from their ancestral lands of Artsakh and aiding Armenian communities in the Diaspora. The organization’s financial reports were also examined in preparation for the upcoming year.

Archbishop Anoushavan, on behalf of the Prelacy’s Religious and Executive Councils, would like to congratulate the ARS-Eastern Region for a notable year of assistance to the Armenian nation, both in the homeland and the diaspora, and for their successful Annual Convention. The Eastern Prelacy will continue to cooperate with the ARS in various educational, charitable, and cultural initiatives.
