Dear Sponsor,

This is Narek. I will soon be 6 years old. I live in Sisian and go to kindergarten. I like legos, building blocks, and puzzles. My mom recently gifted me a chess board. My sister and I only later got why she chose that particular type of board. It is because you can also play nardi (backgammon) with it. Now, she is teaching me how to play nardi, because she always wants to have someone in the house to play with her, but neither my dad nor my sisters played. Basically, I am her only hope.

It is cold now and I often don’t go out to play, although I love playing outside in the sand. It is interesting for me to stay home too. As my sister says, I have appropriated the couch and TV and keep watching cartoons. My mom complains too that she wants sometimes to see real people on TV or watch other programs, but as you probably guessed, it doesn’t happen.

In September, I will start going to school. I don՛t have any idea how it will go, but it seems to me that I will love learning things and next time, I will write you a letter myself.

Dear Friend, thank you so much for being at my family’s side.
