COMMUNITY LEADERS DISCUSS ARMENIAN RIGHTS IN JERUSALEM

On Saturday, February 1, His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, took part in a meeting with Hagop Djernazian and Setrag Balian, founders of the Save the ArQ movement, who have been actively engaged in recent years in the defense of Armenian rights in the Armenian Quarter of Jerusalem, during their visit to New York.

The community roundtable was attended by representatives from the Eastern Diocese; the Armenian General Benevolent Union; the Armenian Revolutionary Federation; the Armenian Democratic League (Ramgavar) Party; the Armenia Fund; the Armenian Bar Association; the Armenian Studies Association, and Justice Armenia.

During the meeting, the guest speakers provided an update on the developments of the past four years regarding the Armenian Patriarchate’s land dispute in Jerusalem. The attendees expressed their full support for the pursuit of justice in this matter.
