DR. VARTAN MATIOSSIAN SPEAKS AT KOSTAN ZARIAN ANNIVERSARY EVENT IN YEREVAN

On Saturday, February 8, Dr. Vartan Matiossian, Executive Director of the Eastern Prelacy, participated as a speaker in Yerevan at the launch event of a project dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Kostan Zarian (1885-1969), one of the foremost names of twentieth-century Armenian literature. Held at the Armenian National Gallery’s Ancient and Medieval Art exhibition hall and organized by the “Koghb” Foundation, the initiative aims to make Kostan Zarian’s life, works, and ideas more accessible and better known to the Armenian public with various events to be announced throughout the year. The event included speeches, readings of Zarian’s works, and musical interpretations of his poems. Dr. Matiossian’s insights into his more than three decades of publications about the writer in several languages added depth to the celebration of Zarian’s legacy.
