PRELACY OPENS LENTEN PROGRAM WITH FOCUS ON REVITALIZING TRADITIONS

On Wednesday, March 5, the Armenian Prelacy began its Lenten Program, co-sponsored by St. Illuminator’s Cathedral in New York City, which included an abridged Husgoom service, a lecture, and table fellowship.
His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan Tanielian, Prelate, presented the inaugural lecture, highlighting the theme proclaimed by His Holiness Catholicos Aram I for 2025: “The Year of the Revitalization of Traditions.” Watch the presentation here.
In the coming weeks, the Lenten lectures will explore a foundational tradition of the Armenian Church: its three creeds, or confessions of faith.
On Wednesday, March 12, Rev. Fr. Hrant Kevorkian, pastor of St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church (Dearborn, Michigan), will speak on “The Baptismal Creed of the Armenian Church.”
