FR. SAMUEL AJEMIAN CONCLUDES PRELACY’S LENTEN PROGRAM WITH LECTURE ON ORTHODOX CONFESSION OF FAITH

On Wednesday, April 9, the Eastern Prelacy held the sixth and final installment of its Lenten program, co-sponsored by St. Illuminator’s Cathedral in New York City and presided over by His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate. Also in attendance was His Eminence Archbishop Torkom, former Prelate of the Western Prelacy.
The concluding lecture, titled “The Third Creed of the Armenian Church—The Confession of the Orthodox Faith,” was presented by Rev. Fr. Samuel Ajemian, pastor of All Saints Armenian Apostolic Church in Glenview, Illinois. Fr. Samuel briefly explained how this lesser-known creed is recited at the beginning of the Kisherayin-Aravodyan (Night-Morning) services on Sunday mornings and other occasions. He discussed its possible origins and highlighted its key affirmations of faith. To view the presentation, please click here.

He thanked the speakers, those who worked behind the scenes to make this program possible, and the sponsors of the table fellowships. He especially acknowledged Rev. Fr. Mesrob Lakissian, pastor of St. Illuminator’s Cathedral, and the Board of Trustees for their ongoing support and partnership throughout the Lenten program.
