David Attarian (November 9, 1948 – December 18, 2025)

His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, and the Religious and Executive Councils have learned with sorrow of the passing of David Attarian. 

David Attarian, born on November 9, 1948, in Beirut, Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, December 18, in New York. A gravesite service was held at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Flushing, New York, on Sunday, December 21. 

A faithful and devoted lifelong parishioner of St. Illuminator’s Cathedral, David Attarian served his church and community with quiet dedication. He was a former member of the Cathedral’s Board of Trustees and a National Representative Assembly Delegate, and he remained an active member of the community throughout his life. 

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife, Diana Attarian; his sister, Maral (Richard) Krikorian; and his nephews, Hrair (Christine) Krikorian and Aram (Tsoler) Krikorian. 

The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Illuminator’s Cathedral.
