Dear Sponsor,
This is Mariam. I was born on October 6, 2008, in Artsakh. I spent my childhood in Oughtasar, a village in the region of Askeran. I went to school there and was on the honor list. In 2020, however, the 44-Day Artsakh War deprived me of my birthplace. Our village was surrendered to the enemy, and we were forced to move to Goris and live in a rented apartment. My father decided to go back to Artsakh and serve in the Artsakh Army in 2023. He fought in every Artsakh war and returned with many medals for valor. He loved Artsakh very much. On September 19, 2023, another war started, and my father went to war. He fought until the end, without sparing his life, and died as a hero. I am proud to have a hero father.
I have the kindest and strongest mother. She raises us well despite all the difficulties.
I have many dreams and one of them is to receive higher education at Yerevan State University. I hope that I will be able to fulfil that dream.
I currently live in Artashat. I am in 12th grade. I go to math and English classes in the after-school program.
Thank you very much for being at our side and for your support.
