PRELACY COMMUNICATIONS SHOWCASED AT THE END OF THE NRA DEPARTMENT TALKS
On Thursday, April 29, as the final installment of the NRA 2021 Department series talks, Gregory Dosttur, the Communications Officer of the Eastern Prelacy presented delegates of the National Representatives Assembly with the latest departmental developments, the day-to-day communications, and IT operations and some long-term ambitions.
Mr. Dosttur began with an overview of all communications related tasks spanning from the weekly “Crossroads” e-newsletter, the functionalities of the newly released Eastern Prelacy website, graphic designs, video productions, social media tasks, livestreams, and more.
To continue adapting to the limitations imposed by the global pandemic due to the novel coronavirus, Mr. Dosttur presented the Eastern Prelacy’s weekly online activities consisting of:
- Faith and Family: a lecture series, released every Monday afternoon, focused on instilling healthy principles in relationships and family dynamics from both a mental health perspective and spiritual point of view.
- Prayer with the People: A special hour of prayer with the Eastern Prelacy Clergy, .
- Weekly reflections every Friday afternoon, covering the upcoming Sunday’s bible reading and delivered by our Prelacy Parish Priests.
- Sunday Soorp Badarak/Divine Liturgy Livestream.
The presentation also showcased the Prelacy’s Crossroads newsletter, which serves as itsmain news outlet. On a weekly basis, the Prelacy’s Crossroads team writes, edits, and reviews a variety of materials . All articles found on Crossroads are uploaded directly to the Eastern Prelacy website. The English and Armenian News section is the newest addition to ArmenianPrelacy.org.
To conclude the Communications department presentation, Mr. Dosttur entertained questions from delegates and Executive Council members about future steps for the department.
