Several of Raffi’s works (1835-1888) have been translated into English, but a biography of the popular Armenian novelist was missing. This book fills that void with an extensively researched narrative that highlights the importance of Raffi’s books in the development of Armenian modern literature and the political awakening of the Armenian people in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century.
