THE PRELACY PURSUES NEW INITIATIVES IN ARTSAKH
His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan Tanielian, Prelate, took part in a conference call with the board of Antonia Arslan Armenian-Italian Educational Institute in Stepanakert, Republic of Artsakh, as well as representatives of the Christians in Need Foundation (CINF), on Wednesday, Feb. 9. During the call, Archbishop Anoushavan discussed new initiatives as well as the plan to renovate the school’s kitchen under the sponsorship of the Eastern Prelacy.
The complex, fully renovated by CINF, includes all educational tiers from kindergarten to high school, as well as a vocational school. Teachers invited from Italy collaborate with the vocational school local staff.
Prof. Siobhan Nash-Marshall, founder of CINF, participated in the call, as well as Rita Mahdessian, the Foundation’s president; Kristina Harutyunyan, First Lady of Artsakh and honorary member of the school board; the complex’s General Director, Tatevik Zaqaryan, and Lusine Gharakhanian, advisor to the President of Artsakh and former Education Minister.
His Eminence praised the promising initiative, saying new programs were underway, and expressed his support and best wishes for steadfast progress for the President of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, the state, the army, and the entire population, saying that Armenians throughout the world stand firm in their resolve to fulfill the goals of our nation.
As our readers know, the Prelacy, as part of its new initiatives in Artsakh, since the beginning of the current year has undertaken the sponsorship of Artsakh war orphans who are living in the republic.
