MIRACLES OF YESTERDAY, TODAY, AND TOMORROW

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Լast Friday when I arrived home, I received from ABC News on my cell the following very touching event which I would like to share with you. It was entitled “A Miracle: Missing 2-year old boy found alive in woods after 24 hours.” The toddler, named Joshua Rowland, is believed to have left his home in Florida while his parents were asleep, as was reported by the Sheriff’s office. Helicopters searched overnight, and over 500 volunteers turned out Friday morning to help law enforcement. ”JJ” was found in the woods quite a distance from his home by a volunteer, Roy Link. According to the rescuer “he said a prayer about ten minutes before finding the 2-year-old.”

The Sheriff told the reporters the following: “I was hoping and praying for a miracle. I think a lot of people were praying –and prayer works.”

While I was reading about this heart-moving incident, my mind went to a different part of the world under different circumstances, yet with amazing similarities. During the recent earthquake which happened in historical Armenian Cilicia, modern Turkey, and which had serious consequence in Syria, mainly in the city of Aleppo, a toddler was brought out of the rubble after 120 hours since the earthquake happened. When she was asked how she had survived, she said: “A person, wrapped in light, visited and took care of me.”

Blessed are those who believe in the power of prayer and manifestation of miracles.

I am tremendously grateful to the Merciful Lord who strengthens us in our service to reach out to all those who are in pain, need and support. I am pleased to say that as of yesterday $ 83,727 has been raised for the Syrian Armenian Relief Fund.

May the Providential care energize us all in His service and for His glory.
