ANEC HOSTS SEMINAR FOR ARMENIAN SCHOOL PRINCIPALS AND TEACHERS

On Saturday, October 5, the Armenian National Education Committee (ANEC) of the Eastern Prelacy of the United States held a one-day seminar for Armenian school principals and teachers. The event took place from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m., bringing together school administrators and educators, along with ANEC Chairperson Houri Boyamian,  Director Hera Makhoulian, and other committee members.

The seminar was divided into two segments. The first part featured a lecture by Anahid Garmiryan titled “How to Create a Culture in Armenian Schools That Emphasizes the Importance of the Armenian Language.” Ms. Garmiryan delivered an engaging presentation, sharing her insights and experiences on the topic through an informative slide show. She also addressed questions from the directors and teachers in attendance.

The second part of the seminar focused on a consultation among the school principals and teachers. They discussed various aspects of the school curricula, challenges faced by both principals and teachers, and proposed ideas for improvement, shared the successes, difficulties, and expectations from their respective schools.
