SECOND SEMINAR FOR SCHOOL PRINCIPALS

The second one-day seminar for school principals, organized by the National Education Council of the Eastern Prelacy of the Armenian Church of America, took place on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. The seminar was attended by principals and teachers, as well as ANEC Chairwoman Houri Boyamian, ANEC Director Hera Makhoulian, and other members.

The seminar consisted of two parts. The first part included a lecture entitled “Armenian in the 21st Century,” delivered by Dr. Hagop Gulludjian, Kachigian Family Lecturer in Armenian Language and Culture at UCLA. Dr. Gulludjian emphasized the importance of fostering a love for the Armenian language, teaching meaningful and relevant topics, and cultivating a passion for reading.

The second part of the seminar was a discussion among principals regarding school curricula and issues related to Armenian language instruction.
