HOLY TRINITY AND SOORP ASDVADZADZIN PARISHES COME TOGETHER FOR CHRISTMAS EVE
Very Rev. Fr. Ardag Arabian, Pastor of Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church of Worcester, celebrated a special Christmas at Soorp Asdvadzadzin Church in Whitinsville, on January 5. The faithful of both Massachusetts parishes joined in the joy and share in the blessings of Christ’s birth.
Twenty-nine children from both parishes joined the choir in singing the hymns (sharagans) of the Divine Liturgy. It was a deeply moving and inspirational service, with standing room only in the sanctuary as over 120 faithful gathered to pray and worship together. The hard work, dedication, and talent of the children should inspire all of us to support and encourage them, as they represent the future of our church.
Following the service, the children, under the direction of Marina Merian and Linda Bullock, performed a few Christmas carols, including Loor Kisher (Silent Night). The evening concluded with dinner and fellowship in the church hall. Plans are already underway for the service to take place at Holy Trinity Church in 2026.
