FR. VACHE BALEKJIAN APPOINTED AS NEW PASTOR OF STS. VARTANANTZ CHURCH

On Sunday, February 23, His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, participated in the inaugural Divine Liturgy celebrated by Rev. Fr. Vache Balekjian at Sts. Vartanantz Church in Ridgefield, New Jersey. As the newly appointed Pastor, Fr. Vache also delivered his first sermon.  

On this occasion, the Prelate, on behalf of the Religious and Executive Councils of the Prelacy, congratulated Fr. Vache on his new pastoral mission and expressed his wish that, through the harmonious cooperation of shepherd and flock, the church’s multifaceted spiritual, cultural, and social activities would be revitalized. 

The Prelate also expressed his joy in announcing that the church’s former pastor, Very Rev. Fr. Sahag Yemishian, had been ordained a bishop that same morning by His Holiness Catholicos Aram I.
