| This latest publication from the prolific and thought-provoking pen of Catholicos Aram I of the Great House of Cilicia was written in April-May 2020, during the global outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. The urgent call spelled out in these reflections is twofold: first, humanity should respond in faith and hope to situations of crisis, uncertainty, and anxiety; and second, ethical values should challenge anthropocentrism. The pandemic has revealed that no person, society, or nation is immune or invincible, and that the future of humanity is extremely shaky.
