The Shushanig camp of Sts. Vartanantz Church (Ridgefield, New Jersey) opened its doors on Monday, August 23. This year, due to Covid, the one-week camp had to be limited to only 50 happy campers, who are accompanied by 30 staff members, including teachers, counselors, and a wonderful kitchen crew.
On Thursday, the campers were blessed with a special visit by His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan. Srpazan Hayr blessed the campers with his presence and shared lunch and ice cream with them.
Shushanig camp would not have been possible without the hard work of its dedicated staff and generous donations from members of the community. The organizers are grateful for a successful year and look forward to next year for the 5th season!
