On Nov. 5-7, Homenetmen Eastern Region USA convened the 44th regional assembly at the parish hall of St. Sarkis Church of Douglaston, NY.
Archbishop Anoushavan, accompanied by Rev. Fr. Nareg Terterian, was warmly received by the delegates attending the meeting. The Pastor said the opening prayer, following which the Prelate in an impassioned speech celebrated the motto of the big Homenetmen family, “Always Ready,” and expressed his wish that meeting participants would take away from it the spirit of Armenian heroes, and get ready for the Homenetmen Games in Armenia in 2022 as well as the Jamboree, also to be held next year.
On Sunday, the delegates attended Divine Liturgy and received communion, enriched with the sermon of Fr. Nareg urging the faithful to live the values of the Christian Armenian.
