PRELACY HOLDS SIXTH SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM

The Prelacy’s Christian Education Department held its sixth monthly Sunday School teacher training virtual program on Monday, March 7, at 7:30-9:00 pm, with the participation of 18 teachers and directors, presided over by His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate. Very Rev. Fr. Sahag Yemishyan, Vicar, opened the session with a prayer.

Nevair Oranjian Babajanyan, an adjunct lecturer at City University of New York (CUNY) and Florida Institute of Technology, presented the third of her four-part lecture series on enhancing pedagogical skills. Her session focused on “Teaching Strategies.” She highlighted a host of effective strategies that teachers have available at their disposal. Following the presentation, the participants engaged in a lively discussion and Q & A.

Next month, Rev. Fr. Stephan Baljian, pastor of St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church (North Andover, Massachusetts) will speak on the Feasts of the Armenian Church, on April 4.
