The Prelacy’s Christian Education Department held its seventh monthly Sunday School teacher training virtual program on Monday, April 4, from 7:30 to 9:00 pm, with the participation of 21 teachers and directors, presided by His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate. Very Rev. Fr. Sahag, Vicar, opened the session with a prayer.
Rev. Fr. Stephan Baljian, pastor of St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church (N. Andover, MA) presented a lecture on The Feasts of the Armenian Church. Der Stephan first explained the scriptural warrant for feasting and fasting. He then walked the participants through the cycle of feasts and fasts in the liturgical calendar of the Armenian Apostolic Church— interspersed with Q & A.
The next and final Sunday School teacher training session will be on May 2, with a presentation by Nevair Oranjian Babajanyan on Technology in Education.
