A LIVELY PALM SUNDAY CELEBRATION AT THE HOLY SEE
Palm Sunday on April 10 was celebrated at St. Gregory the Illuminator’s Cathedral in Antelias in a joyous atmosphere, with the traditional procession by the children and a message pronounced by His Holiness Catholicos Aram I.
Following Divine Liturgy officiated by His Eminence Archbishop Shahan, Head Librarian of the Giligia Library, His Holiness addressed the public from the pontifical residence.
The Catholicos reaffirmed that the Holy See stands with the Lebanese Armenians through these difficult days.
“We will continue to be with you, because the Armenian community of Lebanon has an important role not only in Lebanon, as one of the most important communities of Lebanon, but also in Armenia, Artsakh, and the Diaspora,” His Holiness said. “Let us therefore renew our faith, will, and hope, let us gather around our church and organizations, and rest assured that when we have a common will, we can remove all kinds of evil from our life and continue our constructive and spirited life.”
After the message, more than a thousand children received the blessing and a present from His Holiness Aram I at the pontifical residence.
