Coming back to Datev after the pandemic was very heartwarming and wonderful. I got to spend time with the people I consider family and made some great memories. I can’t wait to come back in future years and continue learning and growing my Christian faith.

– Katrina Arvestian, Level 2

Datev was a fun experience, and the classes answered a lot of questions I had about the Armenian Church. I will most definitely be coming back next year. We are all a family and everyone makes it feel that way.

– Taniel Arakelian, Level 2

This year Datev was so much fun. The classes taught me so much about the Armenian Church and my religion. Being in-person also led me to make new friends and get the full experience. Datev was very enjoyable and I hope to come back for many more years.

– Ani Boman, Level 2

For me, Datev was an unforgettable experience. I made new friends and got out of my comfort zone. I also connected more to my Armenian culture through song, dance, friends, and religion.

This year at Datev I had a lot of fun. I made many new friends and got better at Armenian dance. The nuns were very kind as well. The night angels/counselors were helpful and kind. Classes were very informative and engaging. Thanks to everyone for making my first Datev experience a memorable one!

– Alex McHugh, Level 2

Spending time with my friends was a lot of fun, and the activities were enjoyable with them. It is unfortunate that we live so far from each other. I’m happy that I had the opportunity to spend this week with great people.

– Alex Varjabedian, Level 3

The curriculum covered a wide variety of topics to expand our knowledge. We all grew as a family in the Christian life.

– Daniel Karamanougian, Level 3

Since it was my first year of Datev I thought it would be hard to make friends and interact with other students, but it was not difficult at all. The classes were very good and informative. I learn many new things such as staying true to my faith that is based on the Bible and the teachings of the Armenian Apostolic Church. This was a new experience for me and I enjoyed it a lot.

– Hagop Ketchedjian, Level 3

I really enjoyed my time and all the activities here at Datev. I enjoyed spending time with friends I haven’t seen in a long time, and making new friends.

– Antranig Tartarian. Level 3

I had fun reconnecting with old friends and making new ones, as well as learning more about my faith and culture. Everyone of the staff was a lot of fun and such kind individuals.

– Mary Ashbahian, Level 4

Coming back to Datev was amazing. After 2 years of online Datev it was so refreshing to see everyone and meet new people but most importantly learn even more about God and growing in my faith. I love how Datev balances faith, culture, and fun perfectly. If I had to rate Datev it would be a 10000/10!

  – Sarineh Cunningham, Level 4

I enjoyed Datev a lot this year because even if it is my 5th year coming to Datev I still get to experience new things. I get to learn about my religion and have fun with new and old friends.

– Taleen Lakissian, Level 5

The curriculum this year was very interesting. My favorite class was “Heavenly Life.” I love the connection we all made as a close family playing volleyball games, cards, and basketball. I can’t wait for next summer. I will miss Datev a lot.

– Anna Tekeyan, Level 5
