A SPECIAL BLESSING OF THE WATERS AT THE CATHEDRAL WITH THE NEWLY CONSECRATED HOLY MURON

On Sunday, July 17, following Divine Liturgy, His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, presided over a special Blessing of the Waters at St. Illuminator’s Cathedral in New York. The water was blessed with the Holy Muron newly consecrated by His Holiness Catholicos Aram I at the Muronohrnek at Antelias on July 1.

Archbishop Anoushavan also delivered the homily at the Cathedral. Rev. Fr. Mesrob Lakissian, Pastor, celebrated the Divine Liturgy.

After the Badarak, Dn. Dr. Ezras Tellalian presented “Humanity During War: Artsakh 2020,” his newly published book of photos and reflections about the Artsakh War, in the Pashalian Hall. He spoke about his remarkable and deeply emotional journey of faith, witness, and service through Armenia and Artsakh both during and after the war. Dr. Tellalian signed copies of his book following the presentation.

In remarks offered after the book talk, the Prelate highly commended Dn. Ezras for his commitment to Artsakh at this critical hour, sharing the agonizing experience of the population who face the threat of death and bringing us the message of resistance, endurance, and hope.

Copies of “Humanity During War: Artsakh 2020″ are available for purchase at $40 each from the Prelacy Bookstore. All profits will be donated to NGOs.
