The Sts. Vartanantz Church community of Providence, RI, joyously welcomed His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan Tanielian, Prelate, and the newly consecrated Holy Muron on Sunday, Aug. 7. The Prelate presided over the Divine Liturgy and delivered the sermon while Rev. Fr. Kapriel Nazarian, Pastor, served as the celebrant.
Following the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence conducted the special Blessing of the Waters ceremony with the Holy Muron that His Holiness Aram I consecrated on July 1 at the Holy See of Cilicia in Antelias.
This celebratory day continued into the afternoon as His Eminence attended the annual church picnic and presided over the Blessing of Grapes and Madagh. The picnic was well attended, with parishioners greeting Archbishop Ansouhavan, whether under the tent or in the air-conditioned hall. To live music by Near East Express, the public enjoyed a well-served table, with delicious food and desserts.
